Comprehensive Database
Employee records in Personnel Director are divided into 25 screens with the ability to record over 550 fields of data for every employee, with unlimited history in each section. Additionally, you can add new screens and fields (as well as change existing ones) using the Custom Screen Designer. Standard Letters & Contracts
Personnel Director comes with an integral word processor, or, set the option in the software to integrate with MS Word in order to quickly generate individualised employment letters and contracts. The software comes with over 35 standard employment letter templates which you can use or modify. What many of our clients do, however, is to take their own standard documentation and simply drop this into Personnel Director - simple and effective! The software allows you to mail-merge for individuals or groups of employees, and you can keep a log of every written communication in each employee's history. What's more, you can elect to email a copy of the documentation to the employee or a colleague.
Import/Export
You have lots of employee data in multiple spreadsheets... and maybe some in payroll as well - right? It's easy to get that information into Personnel Director! Simply use the Input Wizard to map your spreadsheet fields to the relevant fields in Personnel Director and the software will do the input for you. Save the mapping as a template and run that template any time you want to update the employee data. And if you select the 'Export to MS Excel' option within the Personnel Director, when you click the Export button, the data from the screen you're in will be placed into an Excel spreadsheet. It doesn't get much easier than that! Reminders can be set up on any field within Personnel Directorand these reminders will automatically appear in Personnel Director, or if you prefer, you can have the reminders appearing in MS Outlook. The Import/Export feature can be used to integrate Personnel Director with your payroll, and if you use IMS Payroll Partner payroll software, there are special integration tools available that automate the process for you.
Powerful Security
With Personnel Director, you control access for every user. You decide which fields, screens, database and employee records users can access, and whether full access is allowed or 'view only' access is permitted. A comprehensive audit trail allows you to monitor who has been using the system.
Extensive Reporting
Personnel Director includes over 175 popular, pre-defined reports and graphs. However, you are not limited to just these! The software includes a powerful Report Writer which allows you to modify the existing reports and graphs, as well as create new reports and graphs from any data within the database. You can even create cross-tab reports! You choose whether you want to either print a hard copy of the report or email the report to a colleague. In addition, the automatic Report Generator means you can automatically generate and email reports each period.
Easy to Customise Yourself
Personnel Director comes complete with the Custom Screen Designer, which allows you to edit any existing screen or create new screens. No longer do you need to go back to the software developer to change fields and screens - you simply do it yourself! Now you have the ability to customise your HR system to exactly reflect your business. Create screens for whatever you need - visa and passport details, union membership, uniform issue, PIN details, and competency assessment are just some of the screens our customers have designed themselves. Global Updates
Had a group of employees who all went on the same training course? You don't need to enter that information multiple times - simply use the Global Update and Batch Input Wizards to update all the relevant employee records with the correct data. Or maybe you have a group of staff reloacting to another branch or department; simple - enter the data once and Personnel Manager changes each employee record. And managing employee pay increases is made simpler with the Pay Increase Wizard - you can select a fixed dollar increase or a percentage, and Personnel Manager will calculate the increase and let you preview it before updating the database.
Easy Archiving
Keeping track of past employee records is important, but you don't want them cluttering up your current employee database! Personnel Director lets you archive past employees at any time... and if you need to, you can simply reinstate and employee's data should they rejoin your organisation. You can define any number of databases with Personnel Director and move employee records between the databases.
Easy to Attach Files
Tired of trying to find lost employee documents? Personnel Director lets you attach electronic files (e.g. Word documents, scans, photos) to every screen within the software. A full copy of the file is kept within the software, so you don't need to worry about an external file being deleted.
