Online Assessments Symposium

Come and join us for New Zealand's most important  online learning event of the year!  Our three-day Symposium will provide you with a wonderful opportunity to get really hands-on with online assessments.

Assessing knowledge, skills and abilities are a key component of every training initiative and although we usually acknowledge that putting tests, assessments and surveys online is a real time-saver, it's sometimes difficult to understand just how to make it happen.  The Online Assessments Symposium 2009 will take you through the hows and whys of how to accomplish that; you'll learn about the basics of assessment theory; when to use questions and what type of questions they should be; you'll explore case studies showing best practice, and even get a chance to listen to your industry colleagues explain how they have incorporated online assessments in their own business.

August 10 and 11 (Monday and Tuesday) will feature an intensive 2-day workshop entitled 'Creating Assessments that Get Results'.   This course instructs and engages delegates in applying principles and best practice in online assessment design, development and delivery.  The course leader will be USA-based Rafael Lami Dozo who is travelling to New Zealand to conduct this Workshop.

On August 12 (Wednesday), the one-day seminar is called Putting Your Assessments Online and will feature an excellent line-up of industry experts and practitioners who will talk about assessment best practice and their own experiences with moving from paper-based to online assessments.  See examples of what other organisations are doing, and network with your industry peers.  Rafael Dozo from Questionmark USA will also be profiling the latest of what is happening with Questionmark Perception online assessment software.
